A Facial Acupuncture session includes body and face acupuncture, gentle cupping and Gua sha massage

Why consider facial acupuncture with gentle cupping and Gua sha? The sessions are relaxing, and over time the results may include:

  • Reducing fine lines

  • Reducing dark circles and age spots

  • Firming skin

  • Eliminating puffiness

  • Reducing the appearance of acne

  • Reducing scarring

  • Promoting overall health, inside and out

Other benefits include stress reduction, better sleep, improved digestion and reduced inflammation.

If you’re not able to complete a full series of 10-12 “Facial Rejuvenation” treatments, no worries: you can schedule individual sessions as needed, or even do Mini Facial Acupuncture without the cupping or Gua sha. We will talk about what you can expect with each, and find the right treatment and schedule for you.

  • Facial Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the first step in your Facial treatment. We’ll start with points on your body to help you let go of stress and ease into the experience. Facial points are then added to build collagen and elastin (requires 10-12 treatments and maintenance), increase circulation, and address the changes you are looking to achieve.

  • Facial Cupping

Facial Cupping can transform your appearance. Including cupping as part of this regimen can help to increase blood flow and circulation, reduce puffiness and drain stagnant fluids. It also helps to relieve sinus pressure.

  • Facial Gua Sha

Facial Gua Sha is a gentle massage technique used to help you feel more relaxed, inside and out! It helps to relax muscles, smooth lines, increase blood flow, reduce inflammation and reduce puffiness. Photos licensed from Michelle Gellis.

What to Expect

You can do a single facial acupuncture session for relaxing facial muscles, moving fluids, and some self-care.

For “Facial Rejuvenation,” it takes about 12 weeks for the body to renew collagen. A full Facial Rejuvenation series weekly treatments for ~12 weeks, before moving to maintenance treatments once every 3-5 weeks. Everyone responds differently to treatments, so we will touch base on progress as we move through your series of sessions.

Facial Acupuncture sessions are 90 minutes long.

  • Single session: $170

  • 4 treatment pack: $640

Patients will complete an initial evaluation and consultation to make sure that Facial Acupuncture/Rejuvenation is the right choice. From there, we can get you started on your journey!

If you’d like, you can bring your own jade, rose quartz, amethyst or bian stone Gua sha tools (we’ll need 2). Or you can purchase a set of tools to keep for during your first session.

Wear loose clothing, have a meal 1-2 hours before your session, make sure you are hydrated, and come with a clean face.
