Even my sister said, “Wow, how did you get so calm?”

A patient recently came to see me to help lower her blood pressure and got a result she didn’t expect: she had less anxiety when driving in traffic.

And then something else happened: her sister noticed a positive change in her.

The patient had been living with and “normalized” a certain level of anxiety in her daily life, particularly over the past couple of years. She was shocked that treatment for her blood pressure also helped her anxiety.

With acupuncture, we are trying to bring your systems back into balance, to create harmony where disharmony exists. Often, this means we can affect change in unexpected ways. I love it when patients can feel changes from their treatment—and that people around them see the changes, too.

Think about the shifts that you’d like to make for yourself in this brand new year. Maybe acupuncture can help?
