Why should I try acupuncture?

Are you considering acupuncture? Acupuncturists use this medicine for a wide range of experiences and symptoms.

  • Acupuncture treats you as a whole person. The big things and little things that you experience day-to-day all tell a picture of who you are and how to best help you feel like the best possible version of you.

  • I’ll take the time to listen to your health history and current symptoms, to look for patterns and to customize a treatment for you.

  • Acupuncture doesn’t cure everything, but it is effective for many things. And, there is a growing body of scientific evidence to support the use of acupuncture for many things, like pain, digestion and infertility.

  • The needles are very small- much smaller than the needles used to draw blood or to administer a vaccine. Acupuncture shouldn’t hurt, and you will likely forget where they are once they are in! If you do feel a lingering sensation, you would just tell me so that I can adjust it. I want you to relax during treatment, and not to be focused on an uncomfortable needle.

  • In addition to acupuncture, I use cupping, Gua sha and moxabustion, and may offer a few simple suggestions on how to use food as nutrition.

  • Acupuncture is great for maintaining wellness. You don’t have to be sick to see an acupuncturist. In fact, it’s good to see your acupuncturist even when you feel well, to keep you immune system strong and even to help control allergies in the upcoming seasons. And, keeping yourself in balance when you are well helps to lower stress and relieve anxiety.

  • I offer facial rejuvenation and mini acupuncture facials to help you glow and flow more easily with aging.

I’m here to help if you have questions about whether acupuncture can help you. If you’re ready to book, head on over to the booking page, and I’ll see you soon!
